Mexico, Halcones UV Xalapa win the LNBP title

Halcones UV Xalapa defeated Halcones Rojos de Veracruz 89-79 to win their fourth LNBP championship in their history. Halcones also won in 2005, 2007-2008 and 2008-2009.
The offense by Ricky Sanchez was key in the first quarter as Halcones Rojos won 27-25. In the second quarter Xalapa left Halcones Rojos in 13 points to be up at halftime 46-40.
The games stayed close and Halcones Rojos were down by just one point twice in the final ten minutes, but Xalapa was consistent on the offensive side to get another win at home.
Leandro Garcia Morales scored 26 points, Gerald Brown 16 and Victor Mariscal 15 for Xalapa.
In a losing effort Ricky Sanchez scored 20 points, Lawrence Hill 17 and Dan Langhi 13.
