Trotamundos brings in Terrence Shannon and Brandon Heath
Nella squadra venezuelana arrivano Shannon e Heat
Trotamundos de Carabobo decided to change things around yet again, by bringing in a former star of the league, Terrence Shannon (203-F-79, agency: N.E.T., college: Elgin CC), and a new fresh face to help in the guard position, Brandon Heath (193-G-84, agency: Octagon, college: San Diego St.).
Shannon, who played two LPB Finals back in 2005 and 2006 as member of Guaros de Lara and was among the best scorers and rebounders of the league, comes back after successful stints in other leagues such as Puerto Rico, Argentina and Korea. He'll be replacing center Mark Bortz (208-F/C-82, agency: Passing Lane, college: Buffalo), who's going to get married and has been granted permission to return to the United States.
Heath is going to help Uruguayan Gustavo Barrera (194-G-85) as point guard, though the move has been perceived as a possible way to cover up and eventual departure of Barrera back to his country. He'll be replacing Cedric Moodie (187-G-78, college: Indianapolis), who's been surprisingly released despites being the top scorer of the team in the past few games. Moodie had also played for Guaros de Lara a couple of seasons ago with great stats. He had replaced veteran guard Lawrence Wallace (183-G-81, agency: HM Sports Agency, college: Cent.Michigan) three weeks ago.
Trotamundos also brought in Venezuelan center Jorge Parra (206-C-84), a member of the team's reserve who hasn't seen any LPB action because he's playing in the United States in Oklahoma at college level.
