Teams continue to move around in the imported players market, trying to bring in the best available players in their quest for the playoffs.
Panteras de Miranda, located at last place of the LPB 2009 standings with a 5-23 record, decided to bring in Daimon Gonner (198-F-80) and release forward Blake Walker (196-G/F-82). Gonner comes from a highly successful time in Finland. The team announced through a late night press release that they've signed Panamanian Antonio Garcia (203-F/C-76) as their new center, substituting Devougn Lamont (208-F-84).
Meanwhile, La Guaira BBC announced that James Reaves (203-F-82), who had replaced Aaron Williams (203-C/F-83) in the 4 and 5 position since a couple of weeks ago, has been released to bring in Jamal Holden (206-C-80), who last played in Bahrain.
Marinos de Anzoategui will try out Isiah Victor (206-F-78) in their series against Gaiteros del Zulia. Victor arrived a few days ago but his arrival did not mean the release of any of the current imported players of the team, whom are Michael Gale (193-G-82), Uka Agbai (203-F-81) and Hatila Passos (212-C-86).
Toros de Aragua let Fred Hooks go and kept Kenya Capers (194-F-73), Taliek Brown (186-G-82) and Alejandro Flores (202-F-81), though Brown may have to travel to the United States for a few days due to the sudden death of his grandfather, according to a press release issued by the team.
