Leones de Ponce sign Romel Beck
The Mexican inks in Puerto Rico
The playoffs in PuertoRico have begun and Leones de Ponce decided to reinforce their roster by adding the 6'7" guard Romel Beck. The double passported USA/Mexican player had a great season in Israel where he played for Bnei Hasharon delivering 18.9 points and 2.7 rebounds.
Romel started the previous season in Mexico. He played for Pioneros de Quintana. Romel Beck tallied 25.7 points, 3.8 assists, 2.7 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game in LNBP. In December the guard moved to Europe. He signed deal with Ikaros Kallitheas in Greece. The guard notched 14.8 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists per appearance in A1 League. Eurobasket.com named Romel Beck.into All-Greek A1 League 3rd Team. Finished the season in the top 5 scorers of the Greek A1 League with 14.8 points per game.
Previously Romel Beck.had stints in Venezuela, Italy, D-League, Mexico, Croatia and Puerto Rico. Romel Beck has been the member of Mexican National Team since 2005.
