Bellarmine hired Reece Gaines as assistant coach

Former University of Louisville basketball player Reece Gaines has joined Bellarmine’s basketball staff as an assistant coach.
“I was fortunate to coach Reece all four years at the University of Louisville,” Bellarmine coach Scott Davenport said, “and I can tell you that he possesses a great amount of personal pride. When he applies that pride to coaching, he’ll have a great career.”
A 6-foot-6 shooting guard, Gaines ranks No. 4 on the Cardinals’ scoring list with 1,945 points. He went on to a 10-year pro career with stops in Orlando, Milwaukee and with several teams in Europe.
