Jamine Peterson will play in Europe next season
Il giocatore lascia Providence
Jamine Peterson will not return to Providence for his junior year and play professional basketball overseas. The 6-6 forward led the Friars in scoring this year as a sophomore, averaging 19.6 points and 10.2 rebounds. “I sat down with my family and my coach and we thought it was best thing to do,” said the New York City native at SLAM. “I spoke with some of Brandon Jennings’s people. I consulted with them and they told me it’s not going to be easy. I like the way it worked out for Jennings. I feel like I can go out there and contribute in rebounding and attacking the rim.”
After his season finished, he began to hear from scouts and decided to look into where he could make his next step forward. He holds offers from teams in France, Italy, Greece and Spain. He made it clear to us that he plans to test the NBA Draft waters next year.
Providence released a statement from Coach Keno Davis that Peterson “has been dismissed from the men’s basketball team for a violation of team rules.”.
