Nebraska, tour in Europe?
Coach Sadler sta cercando di organizzare alcune amichevoli in Europa
The Nebraska men’s basketball team is still on track to leave the country in August to play exhibition games.
The question is where.
NU coach Doc Sadler said Monday that Spain is being studied but that a final decision likely won’t come for two more weeks.
“We want to go where we’ll get the best competition for five games," he said.
The problem in securing a destination is that this summer is the international basketball federation’s (FIBA) world championships.
The final rounds of that tournament begin in Turkey in late August. This year, 24 countries have been invited and will play elimination rounds leading up to the title event. The results of the earlier knockout events impact who is available for NU to play.
Sadler has pursued a foreign trip to try to season his relatively young roster.
