Kenny Lawson jr. withdraws from NBA draft

Creighton center Kenny Lawson Jr. has withdrawn from the National Basketball Association draft and will return for his senior season with the Bluejays and new coach Greg McDermott.

Lawson, who announced his decision Wednesday, had filed his paperwork declaring for the April 8 draft. Players who don't sign with an agent have until Saturday to decide whether to return to school or stay eligible for the draft.
