Chris Wright returns to UD for his senior year

Despite being told by the NBA that he’d likely be taken between picks 35 and 45 – in other words, solidly in the second round — Wright pulled his name from the draft and will be back with the Flyers next season.

He had until May 8 to decide, and some teams had begun calling Thursday to set up individual workouts. But he didn’t want to waste their time when his mind was already made up.

“If I would have come out my sophomore year, I wouldn’t have been as close as I am now (to playing in the NBA),” Wright said. “My stock has risen.
