FSU's Alabi to declare for NBA Draft

Florida State center Solomon Alabi will announce today that he is declaring for the NBA Draft.

Alabi, a 7-foot-1 native of Nigeria, led the Seminoles in scoring this season with 11.7 points per game. He was also a first-team selection to the ACC's All-Defensive team after blocking 75 shots in 32 games.

A redshirt sophomore, Alabi could have played two more seasons in Tallahassee.

The Seminoles have already signed three post players who will play in the 2010-11 season -- 7-foot center Jon Kreft from Chipola College, 6-foot-9 forward Bernard James from Tallahassee Community College and 6-foot-8 forward Okaro White from Clearwater High.
