Nevada’s Kirk Snyder Awaiting Trial in Ohio

Former Nevada star Kirk Snyder, just 26, faces aggravated burglary and felonious assault charges, but a competency hearing set for Tuesday was delayed a month. Snyder is pleading not guilty by reason of insanity. According to a December Salt Lake Tribune article, Snyder’s possible mental illness isn’t a surprise. The former first round pick led the Wolf Pack to the Sweet 16 in 2004 after wins over Gonzaga and Michigan State.
