He announced his decision Twitter
Serbian prospect Filip Petrusev has committed to Gonzaga, as he announced via Twitter. Petrusev, born in 2000, is one of the top prospects in Europe and was a major factor at the last U18 European Championship, averaging 16 points, 10 rebounds, 2.6 steals and 1.7 blocks per 40 minutes.
Currently a Montverde Academy alum, Petrusev has picked Gonzaga over other major schools like Kansas, Virginia, Utah, Tennessee, Florida, Maryland, Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt and Arizona. The big man has the potential to become a great player on both ends of the floor, with his ball-handling and shooting abilities but also with his defensive potential.
Gonzaga has worked with other International prospects in recent years, such as Domantas Sabonis, Kelly Olynyk and Ronny Turiaf.
