NCAA UNDERGROUND 2017 - Five players to follow....

....ready for your European team

NCAA
PG – TRA-DEON HOLLINS (OMAHA) – Not the right man if you are looking for a scoring point full of offensive options and pure talent. This is an average offensive talent at point guard but a big heart player. Fantastic in the defensive end where he is a nightmare for opposite guards and, one of the top three in the nation when it’s time to steal the ball. Just to give you a hint, he was key in Win vs Denver just scoring 5 points with 0/4 from three points, but 10 rebounds and 6 steal. Almost cult.

SG – GARRET COVINGTON (WESTERN ILLINOIS) – Ok, the Summit League is outside top 20 conference in the nation but this guard spent every year of his four averaging between 15 and 19, always as the main offensive option of his team. Will leave Macomb with almost 2000 points scored, most of them coming off the screen using his soft touch and nice release on his jumper. Maybe Eastern European league to start his first pro year, but with that size and talent, easy in one of the top european leagues shortly after.

SF – BLAKE HAMILTON (BUFFALO) – Amongst all the Hamilton cousins of the Los Angeles area (ex-Nuggets Jordan, ex-UConn Daniel and Isaac now at “The ‘Zo Show”) the more “underground” one. He’s an awesome swingman for Europe. True 6-6 player with creativity off the dribble, ball handling and quality visions. He does a lot of one on one in the offense going strong and effective on his right hand with power or finesse. Has got reliable long range shooting and can play some minutes at four in the small ball, as he can really rebound. Swiss knife.

PF – FRANKO HOUSE (BALL STATE) – Not a finesse player, strong body 6-6 over 240 pounds. Not too much technical talent, limited offensive variety but strong will to perform at best to get the Win and he never let his coach down. His 13 points per game usually come from his power moves down low, with a pretty good start off the dribble from the elbow and, if really has to, can shoot the 12 footer. He’s bringing Ball State on top of MAC western Division… good enough to deserve a spot in this file.

C – RASHAWN THOMAS (TEXAS A&M CORPUS CHRISTI) – Long, with amazing mobility north-south and ability to battle at rebound. A bit lost in South Texas, in one of the best campus on the Mexico Gulf where they really teach basketball at high level. In the current 8 win streak he scored around 30 points several times… in the offense has to stretch his shooting range but there’s a lot of upside with those hands and body and it’s very interesting to work on him. Best thing he does is get the contacts down low and score after taking the hit.
