NCAA UNDERGROUND 2017 - Five players to follow....

....ready for your European team

NCAA
PG – DeWAYNE RUSSELL (GRAND CANYON) – Small point guard more of a scoring machine than a real point guard. Has amazing change of speed and crossover joining a dangerous outside shot (42% from threes at the moment) making him almost unguardable in the WAC. Has the ability to draw fouls while going at the rim using always the physical contact in his favor. 20 points per game in some European league soon.

SG – Q.J. PETERSON (VMI) – Another 6feet tall crazy scorer. Often busy off the ball, clearly at his best with ball in his hands. Reliable in his jumper from any distance, has got athleticism and skills to dominate a game offensively and create scoring opportunities consistently. Among all the “underground scorer” in the nation one of the most active in the defensive end.

SG – GIAN CLAVELL (COLORADO STATE) – Hyperactive guard with Puertorican creativity. Has natural tendency to score (more with energy than clean skills), can hit from outside or attack the basket against any defensive coverage. Probably the best rebounders at guard in the whole NCAA. Sometimes forces shots but if you are looking for a true warrior, he’s the one. 37 points in the key W for his Rams at San Diego State last Saturday.

PF – JACOB WILEY (EASTERN WASHINGTON) – Special player. Hands, instincts, athleticism and upside of a NBA Draft pick… then you check back and, at the moment, he’s a 6-7 center with no 3-point range, very dynamic who can create off the dribble and finish at the rim. Will make a lot of opponents go crazy, and some of his coaches too… but his game is so intriguing. Last night in Sacramento another show: 38 points, 12 rebs and 4 blocks. He’s also shooting 85% in free throws.

PF – STEVE TAYLOR JR. (TOLEDO) – You can’t resist. He’s one of those bigs who knows he can dominate both with his body and his technique. Loves to handle the ball, gives no-look passes and score. Has got surprisingly quick hands and feet. Plus, if he’s motivated enough, can give a great contribution on defense with same amazing results. Can play both face and back to the basket and his hands are so strong, there’s no debate on who will catch it if he’s around. If you need more, last Saturday, vs Northern Illinois: 7 points, 17 rebs & 9 assists. Business as usual.
