NCAA UNDERGROUND 2017 - Five players....
....off the radar ready for your European team
PG – DAJUAN GRAF (NC CENTRAL) – His body and ability to improve quality of team shots makes him one of the most interesting point guards in the underground of NCAA. No crazy change of speed or particularly powerful plays but high basketball IQ, 40% from 3’s and the smooth movement in the offense able to avoid most of the defensive helps when going to the rim. Had a 25pts, 9rebs 4ast night vs Maryland Eastern Shore during the week.
SG – MILTON DOYLE (LOYOLA – CHI) – Nothing but love for him. With ball in his hands he is always between a crazy-talented basket or an over-confidence turnover. There’s a lot of Jamal Crawford in him, as he’s a one man offense for talent and ability to create. A bit of playground player but still shooting around 50% from the court during the season thanks to his amazing talent. On wednesday, in a bad shooting night had 23 with 7 rebs and 8 assists.
SF – TRE McLEAN (CHATTANOOGA) – He gets little share of attention that goes beyond his teammate Justin Tuoyo, probably future second round pick. Tre is a more silent type of player with his ability to be the main offensive player without having too much the ball in his hands. Very smart in spacing and free himself up for the catch and shoot. He’s currently the most consistent player of the team with his ability to shoot from mid-range and long distance. The Mocs are on top of the Southern Conference and he’s averaging 14 per game shooting 40% from three and 80% from the line.
PF – RYAN TAYLOR (MARSHALL) – Versatility, strong body and technical skills make him perfect for Dan D’Antoni offensive circus. Has Draymond Green type of game (he watches and studies Green games all the time) being that 6-5 point forward that makes the offense go. Can shoot from outside or show his talent in the paint. Has got court vision to find open teammates and will guard the best opposite frontcourt player. Scoring more than 15 per game with 8 rebounds and almost 2 blocks.
C – ISAIAH JOHNSON (AKRON) – You might be surprised to know that on a game vs Gonzaga he went head to head with power moves against Karnowski, the huge Zags’ center. He’s got an NFL body with amazing quick feet and very good hands to finish in the paint and pass the ball when doubled. Nobody can stop him in the MAC. Last Tuesday at Central Michigan had 33 with 9 rebs. Zips will be very dangerous in March…
