College player doesn't realize that his team is losing, let the time expire

It's really crazy what happened in college basketball game between Brown and Bryant last night. Brown won the game 91-90 but Bryant had the opportunity to win the contest and wasted it in a very stupid way.

Brown had the final possession with at least 3 seconds left on the clock, the ball was in the hands of Ikenna Ndugba but the player didn't realize that his team was losing the game and let the time expire without shooting the ball.
