Chris McCullough out due to a a torn anterior cruciate ligament
The Syracuse Orange will be without forward Chris McCullough for the remainder of the season due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament in the freshman's right knee, the school announced Monday.
McCullough suffered the injury during Syracuse's Jan. 11 70-57 win over Florida State while leaping to catch a pass in transition. Surgery has not yet been scheduled, according to the school.
The 6-foot-10 freshman was averaging 9.3 points and 6.9 rebounds for the 12-4 Orange this season. He started every game and was averaging 28.1 minutes per game and had three double-doubles.
