Junior big man Brice Johnson was the Tar Heels' leading scorer with 18 points plus 9 rebounds, while junior pointguard Marcus Paige added 16 points and 4 assists.

For the Buckeyes sophomore forward Marc Loving had 19 points and 4 boards, senior swingman Sam Thompson ended with 17 points, 4 boards and 2 blocks.
