The sophomore had appeared in six of Duke's eight games so far this season, averaging 3.0 points and 2.3 rebounds per game. The Ottawa, Kan., native had played 10.5 minutes per contest, but has slipped in the rotation with the additions of Jahlil Okafor and Justise Winslow as well as the improved play of Marshall Plumlee.
