Ryan Anderson commits to Arizona
He'll leave Boston College
Boston College transfer Ryan Anderson is heading to Arizona, he told CBSSports.com on Thursday night.
"Best for everything I want," Anderson said in a text message. "It's a great fit."
Anderson chose the Wildcats over Iowa State, where he visited last weekend. He also had Indiana among his finalists, but did not take his visit to Bloomington.
The 6-foot-8 power forward averaged 14.3 points and 7.3 rebounds last season, but made the decision to transfer at the end of a disappointing campaign. Anderson, a California native, will have one year of eligibility after sitting out of the 2014-15 season.
With three potential early-entry candidates starting in the frontcourt next season -- Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Brandon Ashley and Kaleb Tarczewski -- Sean Miller could certainly use an immediate impact big man in two season. The Wildcats are still on the hunt for frontcourt players in the class of 2015, too.
