Wolverines' Jon Horford will transfer for final season of eligibility

Jon Horford, a Michigan tri-captain last season and soon-to-be Michigan graduate, has decided to transfer for his final season of eligibility.
Horford is on track to earn his undergraduate degree this May, but has one season of NCAA eligibility remaining. By completing his degree this spring, the 6-foot-10 forward can transfer to another program as a graduate student and gain instant eligibility to play next season.
Playing primarily as a backup to senior forward Jordan Morgan, Horford appeared in all 37 games last season, averaging 3.8 points and 4.2 rebounds in 13.8 minutes per game.
