Duke forward Jabari Parker named Wayman Tisdale Freshman of the Year
Kansas' Joel Embiid, Syracuse's Tyler Ennis, Kentucky's Julius Randle and Kansas' Andrew Wiggins round out the Freshman All-America team
Forward of Duke Jabari Parker has been named the Wayman Tisdale Freshman of the Year.
Parker, a 6-foot-8 Chicago native, came into the season with high expectations as an immediate impact scorer, and he didn't disappoint. He hit the 20-point plateau on 20 separate occasions, also hitting double-figures in all but two of his 34 games this season
Parker averaged 19.3 points and 8.8 rebounds, while shooting 47.8 percent from the field and 36.9 percent from 3-point range this season.
