Louisville tops Uconn 71-61 for inaugural AAC title

For the Cardinals is the third straight conference tournament title.

Louisville won the first AAC Tournament.
The Cardinals won 71-61 the championship game against Uconn with 41 points combined from senior guard Russ Smith (19 points plus 3 assist and 5 steals) and sophomore power forward Montrezl Harrell (22 points, 11 boards and 3 blocks).
For the Huskies junior forward Deandre Daniels had a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds, while freshman center Amida Brimah added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks.
