Sophomore pointguard Marcus Smart had 21 points (5 of 14 FG, 9 of 14 FT), 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals, while senior guard Markel Brown added 21 points (4 of 7 FG, 10 of 10 FT), 4 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks.
For the Jayhawks freshman center Joel Embiid had 13 points (4 of 6 FG, 5 of 5 FT), 13 rebounds and 3 steals.
