Pizza Hut will pay WCU student $10.000 for his half-court shot

In a surprising move, Pizza Hut announced via Twitter on Tuesday that company officials saw Lavery's shot and were so impressed that they have decided to give Lavery the $10,000 -- and free pizza for a year. Lavery confirmed to NJ.com that Pizza Hut was not involved with the contest at all, and simply reached out to him because they felt it was the right thing to do. As for the surprise gift, Lavery said that he is "extremely blessed."
