LSU tops Kentucky 87-82

LSU, one of few teams that has size, power and atlethicism to compete with the NBA prospects of Kentucky, won 87-82 with a great performance of junior big man Johnny O'Bryant, who had 29 points (12 of 20 FG), 9 boards and 2 blocks. Freshman power forward Jordan Mickey ended 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 blocks (3.6 per game, third shotblocker in division one), while freshman forward and NBA prospect Jarell Martin added 9 points, 2 steals and 3 blocks.
For the Wildcats James Young was the top scorer with 23 points (5 of 12 from deep) plus 7 rebounds and 2 assist, but Julius Randle and Willie Cauley-Stein combined for just 9 points with 4 of 16 from the field.
