Syracuse beats Saint John's at the Madison Square Garden with some late-game plays from senior comboforward C.J. Fair (21 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals, 9 of 17 FG). The Orange closed the first half ahead 39-27 with 15 of the 21 total points of freshman pointguard Tyler Ennis (5 of 12 FG, 10 of 10 FT). In the second half the Red Storm were able to close the gap and took also a 60-58 lead with six minutes to play. Junior shooting guard D'Angelo Harrison closed with 21 points (6 of 19 FG, 10 of 10 FT) and 6 rebounds, while freshman pointguard Rysheed Jordan added 13 points (2 of 8 FG, 9 of 9 FT), 6 rebounds and 3 assists.
For the Orange sophomore forward Jerami Grant had 14 points ( 5 of 7 FG, 4 of 7 FT) and 7 rebounds.
