Indiana defeats Washington 102-84
The young Hoosiers give proof of their value at the Madison Square Garden
With just one senior, two freshmen and two sophomores in the starting-five Indiana dominates Washington in the semifinals of the 2K Sports Classic Benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project.
No stage fright for the Hoosiers, which exceeds 100 points dominating in rebounding (50 to 29, with 51.3 per game the Hoosiers are third in divvision one) thanks to the superior athleticism of the two freshmans and NBA prospects Noah Vonleh (18 points and 9 rebounds, 7 of 11 from the field in 24 minutes, the first game of his short college basket career without a double-double ...) and Troy Williams (22 points and 8 rebounds, 8 of 12 from the field, 6 of 7 free throws). Sophomore point guard Yogi Ferrell added 22 points and 5 assists with 3 of 7 from long range.
For the Huskies there is still much work to be done, the top scorer is CJ Wilcox, shooting guards with NBA ambitions, that scored 24 points with 9 of 20 from the field, double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds for the former San Francisco Perris Blackwell.
