Dwight Howard not interested in a long term deal with Lakers?

I Magic sono ancora certi che Howard possa rimanere in Florida con un nuovo contratto

NBA

John Ireland said on ESPN Radio Tuesday that Dan Fegan, Howard’s agent, told him that he would not be interested in a long term deal with Los Angeles. Howard is considered to be one of the biggest targets as the NBA trade deadline approaches, however, teams are not likely to be willing to deal for him unless they know that they can keep him for the long term. Prior to this season, Howard told the Orlando Magic that he would like to be traded, and he gave the club a short list of team’s that he would sign an extension with if he were dealt there. The Magic still believe that they will be able to sign the three-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year to a long-term contract.

Orlando Magic Chief Executive Officer Alex Martins has spoken with Dwight Howard recently about Howard's long-term intentions. What was said? Martins would not say, but he indicated that those talks are ongoing. "Dwight and I have talked, and we've committed for the time being that we're not going to reveal the details of those discussions as we continue them," Martins said before the Magic faced the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday night at Amway Center.
