Timberwolves, Clippers still discussing trade scenarios involving Jimmy Butler
But Minnesota's asking price is considered too high
As reported by Chris Haynes of Yahoo! Sports, the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Los Angeles Clippers are still involved in discussing trade scenarios for All-Star forward Jimmy Butler. But so far Timberwolves' asking price is considered too high by the Clippers. In particular, Minnesota would love to receive Tobias Harris in any deal with the Clippers but Los Angeles, at least for the moment, is not interested in parting ways with Harris, who's considered a key piece of the team.
The belief is that Timberwolves president Tom Thibodeau is still not taking seriously any offer for Butler because he still believes that the relationship with the player can be repaired.
