JJ Redick says he was close to signing with Pacers and also Lakers were interested

JJ Redick said that he was close to signing with the Pacers before the 76ers made a new offer and convinced him to remain in Philadelphia.
Redick, who spoke with ESPN’s Zach Lowe, said that also the Lakers were interested in him after LeBron James’ decision.

Per USA Today, On Zach Lowe’s The Lowe Post podcast, Redick talked about his free-agent decision, which included a chance to join the Lakers.
“We were waiting on LeBron. Once LeBron made his decision, the Lakers were sort of involved as well. There was an opportunity there … It would have .”
Redick ultimately chose to remain with the Philadelphia 76ers, though he also mentioned offers from the Phoenix Suns and Indiana Pacers as well as the Lakers. Redick came closest to signing with the Pacers before a change in the offer from the Sixers at the 11th hour led to Redick remaining in Philly.
