Vince Carter says he is “90-something percent” sure he will retire after the 2018-19 season
Carter: I come from an era where that’s not how it was. So that’s still instilled in me. And I don’t have any problem with how it’s done now. (It’s) just not for me
Vince Carter signed a one-year deal with the Hawks this summer and he said that he is 90% sure he will retire after this season.
Per Amico Hoops, Vince Carter says he’s “90-something percent” sure he will retire after the 2018-19 season.
When asked by reporters why he didn’t sign with a contender to chase rings, Carter said he’s not built that way.
“I come from an era where that’s not how it was,” Carter said. “So that’s still instilled in me. And I don’t have any problem with how it’s done now. (It’s) just not for me.”
“I still want to play the game,” Carter said. “Whatever minutes are there, I want (them). It’s a love. It’s tough to walk away. Obviously when it’s time, it’s time. But I’m still passionate about it.”
