Thunder granted Carmelo Anthony the permission to speak with Heat and Rockets

With OKC and Carmelo Anthony expected to part ways soon, the Thunder have granted Carmelo Anthony the permission to speak with other teams, including Houston Rockets and Miami Heat, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. 

The Thunder are still exploring some trade options to unload Carmelo Anthony's expiring contract but the buyout remains the most likely outcome of the situation. 

Story filed to ESPN: In advance of an inevitable – if not imminent – parting, the Oklahoma City Thunder granted Carmelo Anthony permission to meet with prospective teams, including Houston and Miami. Meetings took place in Vegas in recent days.
