NBA, Pistons, Grand Rapids Drive to be sued in Zeke Upshaw's death
Upshaw passed away after suffering cardiac arrest during an NBA G League game
The NBA is facing a lawsuit that will be filed by the mother of Zeke Upshaw, the NBA G League player who passed away after suffering cardiac arrest during a game in March.
The Detroit Pistons, the Grand Rapids Drive's owners, and the Deltaplex Arena, where the game was held, will also be the defendants in the case, in addition to the NBA.
"No life-saving measures were attempted, no CPR was initiated and no defibrillator was used," a statement from attorney Benjamin Crump, who represents Upshaw's mother, said.
