Keith Smart to join Knicks coaching staff

He'll be a top assistant under Fizdale

As reported by Ian Begley of ESPN, Keith Smart will leave his job with the Memphis Grizzlies to accept a position as a top assistant with David Fizdale in New York. Smart has worked for the Grizzlies in the last two years and before that, he was with the Miami Heat.

Memphis coach J.B. Bickerstaff is interviewing coaches for his staff with the knowledge that Keith Smart will join David Fizdale as an assistant with the Knicks, per ESPN sources. Smart will be a top assistant on Fizdale’s staff.
