Timberwolves, Karl-Anthony Towns reportedly not in a good place internally
There'd be frictions among the two sides

In the latest episode of his podcast, Zach Lowe of ESPN, along with Brian Windhorst, said that the relationship between Karl-Anthony Towns and the front office of the Minnesota Timberwolves is not that great. The two sides wouldn't be in a great place internally. Windhorst added that he wouldn't be surprised if Towns' name would eventually surface in some trade rumors this summer. But it's important to specify that at this point there are no signs that Timberwolves are considering moving him via trade.
This story could be another sign of the issues inside Timberwolves locker room. Back in March, in fact, Darren Wolfson reported that Andrew Wiggins wasn't happy with being the third option behind Towns and Butler.
Whoa. @DWolfsonKSTP just said on @1500ESPN that Wiggins has “whispered to teammates” that he’s unhappy being a third option behind Butler and Towns.
