"He just said play the game I know how to play," Simmons said on Friday. "He gave me some words of encouragement."

Allen Iverson reached out to Ben Simmons after the Australian rookie scored only one point in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Boston Celtics.

"He just said play the game I know how to play," Simmons said on Friday. "And that's just second nature to me. ... He gave me some words of encouragement."
