Hornets to interview Ettore Messina for their head-coaching vacancy

Messina is the associate head coach in San Antonio

As reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Charlotte Hornets have received the permission from the San Antonio Spurs to interview Ettore Messina for their head-coaching vacancy. Messina is the associate head coach of Gregg Popovich in San Antonio since 2014.

Mitch Kupchak, the new Hornets GM, already knows Messina, who worked with him with the Lakers as an assistant coach for Mike Brown.
