The Golden State Warriors will keep their name also when they move to San Francisco from 2019-2020.
Per NBC Sports, The Warriors have gone through name changes in the past. They were first the Philadelphia Warriors from 1956-1962. Once the team move out West, the franchise became the San Francisco Warriors from 1962-1971 before their current name of the Golden State Warriors starting in 1971.
