Suns GM Ryan McDonough says priority is to find a new head coach when season wraps up

Suns GM Ryan McDonough said that the priority when the season will be over is to find a new head coach. Coach Triano will be interviewed as well by the franchise.

Per Arizona Sports, “In terms of the chronology of it, the head coaching search comes first, and that’s something we won’t waste a lot of time on when the season wraps up,” McDonough said Monday in a Facebook Live chat. “(Triano will) get an interview, but we’ll talk to a number of other candidates as well, and it’s a process that we were criticized for not going through two years ago (when Phoenix hired interim coach Earl Watson) and I think rightfully so.”
