NBA Commissioner Adam Silver floats possible playoff format change
The NBA Commissioner hinted at a compromise

NBA commissioner Adam Silver floated the possibility of a modified playoff seeding system during his annual All-Star Saturday news conference.
Silver hinted a compromise: he mentioned still having the best eight teams from each conference making the playoffs, but then seeding those teams 1-16. This seeding system would allow the possibility of having two teams from the same conference facing each other in the NBA Finals.
Getting that type of change would require 20 of the 30 teams to vote for it.
