Former LSU point guard Josh Gray will sign a second 10-day contract with the Phoenix Suns, his agent Jason Elam told Sportando.

Gray, 24, was signed to his first 10-day contract by the Suns on Feb. 2 and had the opportunity to make his NBA debut. Over his first four games, he has averaged 6.8 points, 2.5 rebounds, three assists and two steals in 17.4 minutes.

This is a new chapter of Gray's inspiring rise.

After going undrafted in 2016, he paid a $150 fee to participate in the open tryouts held by the NBA G League's Northern Arizona Suns. He made the team's roster and had a good rookie season in the then-called NBA D-League.

Gray returned to the Northern Arizona Suns to start the current season and he had the chance to step up and be a leader for his team, averaging 17.9 points, 5.8 assists, four rebounds and 2.2 steals per game and shooting 43.5% from three.

The Phoenix Suns decided to give him a chance by signing him to a first 10-day contract. He has made the most of the call-up and earned himself the opportunity to stay in the NBA for ten more days.
