CJ McCollum scored 50 points in 29 minutes in Blazers’ win over the Bulls 124-108.

Per ESPN, He becomes the first player to reach 50 points in under 30 minutes since Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson reached 60 points in 29 minutes against the Indiana Pacers on Dec. 5, 2016.

McCollum had 28 points in the first quarter alone, a franchise record and the highest first-quarter scoring performance in the NBA this season. Entering Wednesday's home game, he had scored more than 28 points total in 30 of his 309 career games.
