Lakers, Dallas had some "initial talks" on Julius Randle, Nerlens Noel trade
Randle will become a restricted free agent this summer
The Los Angeles Lakers had some "initial talks" with the Dallas Mavericks about Julius Randle and Nerlens Noel, as reported by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
“One conversation the Lakers did have, some initial talks, about Julius Randle, was with Dallas," Wojnarowski said. "He’s from Dallas, and Dallas is a team now that’s trying to accumulate some young assets. Nerlens Noel was a player who they sort of loosely had some conversations about. The Noel injury, though, essentially ended those. Noel would actually have to agree to a trade to L.A.”
Randle will enter restricted free agency this summer. He is averaging 12.5 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 22.4 minutes per game this season.
