Phoenix Suns release guard Mike James
The Suns are clearing a roster spot in order to keep Isaiah Canaan

After converting his two-way contract into an NBA deal, the Phoenix Suns are releasing guard Mike James, according to Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports.
Per Charania, the two sides mutually decided to part ways to give James an opportunity to land elsewhere after falling out of the rotation in the last four games.
James, a 27-year-old guard out of Lamar, is averaging 10.4 points, 3.8 assists and 2.8 rebounds per game in his rookie season. Before signing with the Suns, he spent his previous pro seasons overseas.
