Warriors won't pick up 4th year option on Kevon Looney's contract
Looney will become unrestricted free agent next July

The Golden State Warriors will not pick up the fourth-year option on Kevin Looney’s contract.
Looney will become unrestricted free agent from July 1, 2018.
Per ESPN, Golden State will clear $2.3M off their books next season by not picking up the 4th year option for Kevon Looney. The former first round pick will be an unrestricted free agent but the Warriors will be restricted on offering him a salary greater than $2.3M, the amount of the declined option. The Warriors already have $127M in guaranteed contracts next season, $4M above the luxury tax but only 7 players with guaranteed contracts.
