NBA All-Star Game format: no more East vs West

The NBA announced new changes in the All-Star Game format. The 2018 All-Star Game in Los Angeles will mark the first time without a matchup between the Eastern Conference and the Western Conference.

Two captains will draft the two 2018 All-Star teams from the pool of players voted by fans, players, and coaches.

The captains will be the All-Star starter from each conference who receive most fan votes in his conference.
