Celtics' Danny Ainge says Isaiah Thomas' hip injury played 'some' role in Kyrie Irving trade

The Boston Celtics have traded Isaiah Thomas to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Thomas suffered a hip injury during the last playoffs but he elected not to undergo surgery.
Celtics president Danny Ainge said that his hip injury played a role in Boston’s decision to trade him.

Per CBS Sports, "Some. There's gonna be probably a little bit of a delay for Isaiah as he starts the season this year, but I think that Isaiah should be fine and healthy as the season goes along," Ainge said.
