Nwaba played in 20 games (two starts) for the Lakers, averaging 6.0 points (.580 FG%) and 3.1 rebounds in 19.9 minutes. The Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo product signed the first of two 10-day contracts on February 28, after tallying 14.1 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 1.0 blocks in 39 games (30 starts) with the Los Angeles D-Fenders.
Nwaba signed the second of his two 10-day contracts on March 11, before signing with the Lakers for the remainder of the season on March 21.
