Nets and Wizards "in war" over Otto Porter's offer sheet
The Nets signed Porter to a four-year, $106 million contract with some unusual clauses

There is a kind of “war” between the Wizards and the Nets for Otto Porter.
The Nets signed Porter to a four-year, $106 million offer sheet and now Washington has two days to match it.
But the contract signed by Porter is “unusual”.
There is a player option on the fourth season, a $15 trade kicker and 50% of Porter’s annual salary has to be paid by October 1, every season.

One more Porter wrinkle: Offer sheet calls for 50% of Porter's annual salary advanced to him by Oct. 1 every season, source says. Unusual.

Wiz can now hold BKN cap space hostage for 6 days, by matching and then dragging out Porter physical. Would expect that route.

The Wizards can take up to 48 hours to match, up to another 48 to have Porter in for a physical and another 48 to pass him on his physical. https://t.co/G9niEoqZxu
